Senior Vice President, Strategic Finance Operations
As Senior Vice President of Strategic Finance Operations, Dave Halter leads the enterprise strategy group, which is responsible for prioritizing and managing corporate strategic capital investment dollars. In this capacity, Mr. Halter heads MedImpact revenue planning, optimization and management, and also partners with sales, marketing and operations to provide strategic business support.
Prior to joining MedImpact, Mr. Halter held leadership positions at Merck-Medco, where he built a new business unit to deliver improvements in consumer communications, achieve operating efficiencies, and drive the company toward a stronger consumer focus.
Mr. Halter holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Boston College, where he graduated magna cum laude, and a Master of Business Administration from Columbia Business School.
Senior Vice President, Health Services
Virginia Howe is a 12-year MedImpact veteran with PBM experience built on many roles and responsibilities within Health Services. As SVP of Health Services, Dr. Howe is responsible for the development and management of multiple quality clinical programs to improve healthcare and reduce the drug spend for MedImpact’s clients. These programs are evidence-based with metrics focused on innovative strategies to improve health outcomes and optimize client’s return on investment. The approaches include but are not limited to unique formulary designs, cost management tools, advanced analytics and expert clinical consultative services.
Before joining MedImpact, Dr. Howe worked more than 30 years as a clinical pharmacist in ambulatory, critical care and anticoagulation clinics at several major teaching hospitals including Stanford University Hospital, Santa Clara Valley Medical Center and San Francisco General Hospital.
Dr. Howe holds a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of California San Francisco and an undergraduate degree from University of California at Berkeley.
Lisa A. Varrato
Senior Vice President, Account Management
As Senior Vice President, Account Management, Lisa Varrato oversees the overall satisfaction, retention and growth of our customers. Lisa has a wealth of knowledge and proven success on partnering with our clients to accomplish common goals. As a member of MedImpact’s Senior Leadership team, she helps the organization achieve improved client satisfaction by driving flexible solutions to optimize customer experience and assists customers in achieving their business and financial objectives through their partnership with MedImpact.
Lisa has more than 27 years of healthcare industry expertise in pharmacy benefit management, sales and account management, government programs and implementation. She joined MedImpact in 2006 as a Senior Account Executive in the managed care market segment. She was promoted to Regional Director in 2009 and named Vice President of Account Management in 2013. Lisa has been instrumental in leading our account teams to ensure overall client realization through organizational support while obtaining retention and growth objectives.
Prior to joining MedImpact, Lisa previously was the Director of Sales and Marketing at Advanced Imaging. As a Senior Account Executive at Caremark and AdvancePCS, she was responsible for managed care and hospital organizations. Lisa also worked as an Account Executive for Advance Paradigm and Scrip Card/HCPP in the early 1990s.
Nancy S. Radtke, Esq.
Senior Vice President, Corporate Services and General Counsel
As senior corporate counsel, Nancy Radtke is responsible for all aspects of MedImpact's corporate governance, legal operations and regulatory compliance. She is an expert in corporate and healthcare law, including litigation, contracting, risk analysis, and federal and state PBM regulations. Ms. Radtke also is engaged in creating client-specific solutions to complex legal and regulatory mandates. She is a credentialed mediator with extensive experience in dispute resolution.
As state and federal regulatory policies have changed, Ms. Radtke has helped MedImpact maintain the highest levels of compliance, and has helped the company's clients navigate the new rules and mandates.
Ms. Radtke has been a member of the State Bar of California since 1991, has a law degree from National University (now Thomas Jefferson) School of Law, a Bachelor of Science from Northern Arizona University, and a Master's degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Senior Vice President, Government Programs and Services
Tim Rourke has more than 25 years of pharmacy benefit management experience in areas including PBM operations, account management, government programs, customer service and software product management. Mr. Rourke joined MedImpact in July 2005 as Director of Government Programs and Services, where he led the development and implementation of the new Medicare Part D program for MedImpact clients. Tim also was responsible for the development and implementation of new business and system services required of MedImpact clients offering pharmacy benefits within the federally-facilitated and state-based Health Insurance Marketplaces beginning in 2014.
During his tenure with MedImpact, Mr. Rourke has been responsible for strategic planning and enterprise project portfolio management. He was instrumental in the development and implementation of MedImpact Direct®, a unique consumer-focused, integrated network for mail and specialty.
Before coming to MedImpact, Mr. Rourke was vice president of account management at SXC Health Solutions (now OptumRx). He started his PBM career with PCS Health Systems (now CVS Health) where he held various management positions in the IT and business areas.
Mr. Rourke earned a Bachelor of Arts in accounting and economics from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey-New Brunswick. He serves as a board member for Mama’s Kitchen, a community-driven nonprofit organization that provides nutrition support to men, women and children affected by AIDS or cancer who are vulnerable to hunger.
