John Schumacher Named MedImpact SVP of Operations; Jill Simoes is SUNRx General Manager

John Schumacher photoSan Diego—April 29, 2015—John Schumacher has been named Senior Vice President of Operations for MedImpact Healthcare Systems, Inc. Reporting to Greg Watanabe, President and Chief Operating Officer, Schumacher will oversee operations, including contact center services and claims processing. 

Previous to his new appointment, Schumacher served as General Manager of wholly owned subsidiary SUNRx, an innovator in managing 340B programs that expand access to affordable medications. Before joining MedImpact, Schumacher served in executive leadership roles with Catalyst Rx (Catamaran), Walgreens Health Initiatives, WellPoint NextRx and Anthem Prescription Management.

Named to replace Schumacher as General Manager of SUNRx is Jill Simoes, who will report to Matt Simas, Executive Vice President and Chief of Markets. For the past two and a half years Simoes has served as Vice President of sales and client management for SUNRx.  Prior to this role she served as Development Director for MedImpact, and held senior leadership roles with organizations including San Diego Hospice and The Institute for Palliative Medicine, Sharp HealthCare and Harvard Pilgrim Health Care.
